Within Homs University City, a group of students gathered and chanted sectarian slogans. Abbas Al-Khaswani, a fifth-year Petroleum Engineering student at Homs University, was the primary instigator behind the raid on Sweida students’ rooms. Al-Khaswani, who was involved in the Coastal Massacre, led a group of radical students to smash doors and open fire on the rooms. The attack resulted in several injuries, including one critical and potentially fatal.
